McAuley House model wins Excellence Award

Our McAuley House integrated support model was honoured with the ‘Excellence in Ending Homelessness’ award for adults. The awards were handed out at the Council to Homeless Persons’ annual conference.

This was very welcome acknowledgement of the value of our approach, which recognises that because the experiences of the women we support are complex and multi-layered, one-size-fits-all approaches don’t work.

As well as providing accommodation, this year McAuley House has continued to develop as a community hub, bringing together health, legal, employment, skills development and recreation into one place.

We thank the Council to Homeless Persons for this award and are grateful to the many partners who assist us to provide this integrated approach.
